Beneficiary Stories

We are constantly encouraged by the backgrounds and the stories of the people we meet as we reach out to the communities around us. This motivates us do to the best we can to support them and we are grateful for the opportunities we get to be are part of their lives. Here are a few of these stories. We share these successes with you on the behalf of the listed parties to say thank you for your tremendous support over the years and hope to encourage you to continue support to a worthy cause.
Beneficiary Dominic

Dominic

Dominic Tetteh, is a seventeen year old senior high school student who has been supported by ChildFocus since the age of twelve. This is a child whose deceased father, being the sole bread winner, left his invalid mother incapable of taken care of him together with his four siblings. Dominic was taken in, and supported by being put under the care of foster parents and provided for by support from ChildFocus and donors for his livelihood. He has steadily progressed through his basic education and just got enrolled into Ada Senior High School to continue his education.

Emmelia Asiem a sixteen-year-old junior high school dropout who had the opportunity to work with ChildFocus as a typist after a short ICT course. Based on the potentials that the young lady exhibited at the workplace, ChildFocus supported her to further her education by completing and has successfully completed senior high school. She is now an employee in a local fashion designer firm.

Mariam, Azimi and Lareba

Mariam, Azimi and Lareba are three Muslims widows that lost their working capital as a result of cultural believes. They were kept in room for months without any economy activity as a result they lost their working capital in the process. ChildFocus recruited these widows as caregivers and trained them on entrepreneurial development and management. They were also supported with working capital to start business. Currently, these women are into petty trading and all their children are in school.
