Where We Came From.

ChildFocus Ghana is a community-based non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable children, women, girls, and families in underserved communities. We exist to nurture young minds, strengthen caregivers, and create pathways for women and girls to thrive, recognizing that the well-being of children is inseparable from the empowerment of their families and communities.

Her Excellency Joyce Abena Anoah Eku, the Executive Director is a Ghanaian humanitarian, advocate for
vulnerable groups, and development-focused leader dedicated to transforming the
lives of children, women and girls, and families in underserved communities. She is
the Founder and Executive Director of ChildFocus Ghana, a community-based non
governmental organization committed to holistic empowerment through education,
health, moral development, and family support.
With a deep passion for social justice and community transformation, H.E. Joyce
Abena Anoah Eku has devoted many years to working with children, women and girls,
youth and families in both church and community settings. Her vision for
ChildFocus Ghana emerged from her experiences as a children’s service teacher and
missionary worker, where she encountered many talented children and their
families living in extremely challenging circumstances. These encounters inspired
her to establish an organization that would provide opportunities for children. Her
vision cuts across a wider scope from her realization that the holistic grooming of a
child in inseparable from the empowerment of women, their families and
communities.
Childfocus Ghana in an attempt to broaden the scope of its support to the needy children and to offer opportunity to children,  women, youth and care-givers had other like-minded people coming on board to help share in the vision of providing meaningful livelihoods to these category of people in need. The organization was registered in March, 2012 under the Registrar General’s Department with registration number G-39,526.
